EVANGELICAL FELLOWSHIP of GOD COVENANT ( Covenant with God and this Fellowship ).

What we believe , trust and have Faith in ;

Having been led , as we believe by the Spirit of God , to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour and , on the profession of our faith , having been baptized in the name of the Father , and of the Son , and of the Holy Spirit , we do now , in the presence of God , and this assembly , most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ .

We engage , therefore , by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love ; to strive for the advancement of this church , in knowledge , holiness , and comfort ; to promote its prosperity and spiritually ; to sustain its worship , ordinances , discipline , and doctrines ; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry , the expenses of the church , the relief of the poor , and the spread of the gospel.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions ; to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our saviour ; to watch over one another in brotherly love ; to remember one another in prayer ; to aid one another in sickness and distress ; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and Christian courtesy in speech ; to be slow to take offense , but always ready for reconsiliation and mindful of the rules of our Saviour to secure it without delay .

We will , with the aid of the Holy Spirit , carry out this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.

This section has to do with (starting and attending)our Home Church fellowship in the Apache Junction/East Mesa area of Arizona;

The message is very simple. Our time spent together is mostly meant for people who want to do SOMETHING for the kingdom of God, and might not know exactly what that “something” is…many times I am in that same boat…

I do not teach or promote anything weird, unless the New Testament is weird to you…Actually I don’t teach at all, and I would prefer no central figure in fellowship other than Jesus Christ.

I think that we should read the word of God, the Holy Bible and then either be content with that and reap the benefit of just “being in the word” …or possibly discuss some aspects of what we have just read…as long as we ALL learn from the discussion…if the point of your attendance is to promote your brand of theology, don’t even bother showing up.

I don’t have the time for fellow Christians who want to debate on things that really don’t matter…even though it seems to be a of great importance to you.

Here are a few examples; I have no desire to learn hebrew or greek…and I especially have no desire to debate items that do not matter in the big picture of eternity; like whether to worship on saturday or sunday..or only studying the King James Bible, etc.etc…I personally think that the New king James Bible was long overdue .

This is a home “church”…I am no biblical genius, but I do have some degree of maturity as a Christian.
There are things in Christian churches, television ministries, etc…
that are wrong , but have nothing to do with our Christian ministry, and/or being saved and going to heaven;

I think the Christian music “industry” is completely out of control. Christian radio stations that only play the top 10 worship songs, over and over, is exactly what the secular pop stations do with their music… Most of these so-called Christian songs are very generic, “cross-over” (songs that they hope will be picked up by secular radio stations…and you would never know it is a Christian song. This is just my opinion, but I think it is a slap in the face of the people who wrote the God-inspired, classic hymns.

I agree that anyone who truly repents of their sins should be restored to the Christian church…is there any reason why Jimmy Swaggart or Jim Bakker (after being restored to the church), can’t become a regular member of a church that they do not run?

There are a lot of Christian ministries, especially non-paid, volunteer ministries within any church….why is it always a case of being right back at the top…Yes, accept them back if they sincerely repent,….but how about cleaning the bathrooms ministry or being in the parking lot ministry to help a church down the road ???…let’s be honest, we know the reason…they want to be right back in the position of control and money….

1. REALIZE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER. For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

2. REALIZE THAT THERE IS A PENALTY FOR SIN. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. Romans 6:26

3. REALIZE CHRIST PAID THE DEBT FOR YOUR SIN. But God comendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

4. REALIZE THAT YOU MUST ASK JESUS TO COME INTO YOUR HEART AND FORGIVE YOU OF YOUR SINS. That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and will believe in your heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-13

Through prayer, you can right now ask Jesus to be your personal saviour, ask Him today ! Sincere pray: Lord, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask you to save me. Come into my heart, and forgive me of my sins. I right now accept you as my personal saviour. Thank you for saving me, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Letter about Christmas

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don’t care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn’t allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn If all My followers did that there wouldn’t be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8.

If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell Me all the time.

2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don’t have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.

3. Instead of writing the President complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don’t you write and tell him that you’ll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up… It will be nice hearing from you again.

4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can’t afford and they don’t need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.

5 Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.

6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don’t know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.

7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren’t allowed to wish you a “Merry Christmas” that doesn’t keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn’t make so much money on that day they’d close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families

8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary– especially one who takes My love and Good News to those who have never heard My name.

9. Here’s a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no “Christmas” tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don’t know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you.

10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don’t do things in secret that you wouldn’t do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don’t forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I’ll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I’ll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember :

I LOVE YOU,
JESUS
