Christianity is a community experience while on earth. Why is the personal experience popular today? Because Americans are too “independent” and not “comfortable” being under authority or the practicing the principle of submission. 

Christianity is not about what happens when you die. Yes, you are forgiven and you are going to heaven ( which is incredible ! ), but in the meantime it is about living for Jesus and making disciples NOW…

Christianity is not just an “event” ( of being saved ). It is a process, a journey here on earth.

 In case you are not a Christian yet, then your priority is to be saved to make sure that you are going to heaven.

The Answered Prayer

A recent series of investigative articles in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch revealed Meyer’s ministry purchased for Joyce and Dave a $2 million home, a $10 million private jet, and houses worth another $2 million for the couple’s children, who also work for the ministry. The articles also outlined Meyer’s recent personal purchases, including a $500,000 vacation home. Not to mention their salary, she has had a salary of $900,000 (or higher) and her husband $450,000, not to mention having all of their children on the payroll…why is it always assumed  that ministry leaders bring their children into the ministry, on salary ? What’s wrong with them getting a REAL job for a few years to see what the real world goes through every day…I do not agree with this practice, it’s called N-E-P-O-T-I-S-M…favoritism shown to relatives or close friends by those in power (as by giving them jobs) .

What type of example is this to the world/society ? 

I am personally trying to get a Christian Motorsport Team started, and I need an investor (and it costs a lot of money), but it has nothing to do with my personal salary, a multi-million dollar home, a private jet ??? ….if all of the figures are correct, those luxuries for any minister are wrong !!! I am going to make sure that as much as possible (concerning the Motorsport Ministry), is rented or leased…and not purchased…that I am not setting myself up financially,  “that my treasures are not here on earth, but that they are in heaven”…I would like to promote TRUE financial accountability and keep living in the same  1420 sq. ft. house that I am living in right now…why do you need more ?

What’s the first thing that the “world” (society) is critical about concerning Christians? That people on TV are in it for the money…and we still have TV evangelists proving pagan society right.

However, we feel that the 2009 Homeless Count substantially understates what those of us on the frontlines of addressing family homelessness are seeing on the street.  A sampling of data from providers that focus on family homelessness indicates a 40% increase in family homelessness between 2007 and 2009.  Confirming this perception, the Los Angeles County’s Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) recognized 7,500 homeless families in January 2009, the same month the Count was conducted, a 49% increase from April 2008.
